Dr. Sara Fuller

Dr. Sara Fuller is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Planning at Macquarie University, Australia. Sara completed her PhD at the University of Sheffield, UK in 2008. Prior to joining Macquarie University, she held positions as Research Associate in the Department of Geography at Durham University, UK (2008-2012) and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Public Policy at City University of Hong Kong (2012-2013).

 

Sara’s research explores concepts and practices of justice and democracy in the field of the environment, with an empirical focus on grassroots, community and activist responses to climate change. She particularly focuses on low carbon transitions and climate governance; NGO discourses of climate and energy justice; low carbon communities and social justice; and energy vulnerability in communities. Her current research investigates the politics and governance of urban climate justice across the Asia-Pacific region.
