Dr. Pradipta Halder is a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), Joensuu. He received his PhD in bioenergy from the School of Forest Sciences under UEF. Prior to that, he completed a double master degree in European Forestry from the University of Joensuu, Finland and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Alnarp, Sweden.  Currently, he is affiliated with the Fudan Nordic Centre as a visiting research scholar. His specializations are in policy and social issues concerning forestry and bioenergy development. He also conducts research related to adaption in the context of climate change in India. He has authored a number of scientific articles and book chapters in international refereed publications. Dr. Halder is on the editorial board of the journal Energy and Environment Research (Canadian Center of Science and Education). He is also a regular reviewer for journals under Elsevier and Springer. Dr. Halder is involved in teaching and supervising postgraduate level students in Finland and India.
